Verni-Finissages - L'instinct de la pierre et de la gravure
Verni-Finissages
Together with Liliane Heidelberger (Profile MediArt) I was exhibiting in Esch. Liliane was a fantastic artist and has created wonderful sculptures. Unfortunately, Liliane passed away in 2019, but her artwork and creativity lives on.
When Nathalie Becker came to me with this expo-hommage, I didn't really have to think about it for too long and am happy to have had this dialogue between Liliane's sculptures and my gravures.
When:
March until June 2020
Where:
Esch, at the Pavillon du Centenaire

Danielle's artistic heritage gets what it deserves: a website
A lifetime of artwork has been, until recently, silently sitting in Danielle's cellar, its zenit long passed and now being lost in oblivion. All her new works have also only known a very short moment of fame. With her brand-new website this changes forever, as her heritage now gets a platform where it can be seen and honoured. Together with her son Noah, they worked hard over the last winter and now the website (including a Facebook and Instagram page) is finally alive and kicking! Enjoy and feel free to give feedback or get in touch :-)
If interested: follow Danielle on Facebook or Instagram to stay up to date about new events, exhibitions and artworks.

Hommage to Camille Gira: Béki Limited Edition
Here a sneak peek of the new Béki notes, the regional currency of the canton Rédange. The project is a hommage to Camille Gira, not only a friend but also initiator of the Béki, former secretary of state and mayor, as well as guardian of the fox in Luxembourg, putting the fox under protection in 2015.
The first edition was created by Patricia Lippert. For the new edition Patricia now chose 5 further artists: Dan Altman, Pascale Behrens, Joel Rollinger, Claude Thoma and myself. Here I want to personally thank Patricia again for making me part of this.
Together we created the new series of Béki notes. Patrick Pax has done an excellent job with the design and finissage of the notes.
Big thanks go also to Max Hilbert and to the Asbl de Kär for organising this project, a project on which we have been working with passion and heart to commemorate Camille.
Join us at the vernissage on the 22nd of May at the Millegalerie in Beckerich, where we will present the works, and cherish someone who left us too early.

GROSBUSCH FAMILY TREE EXHIBITION
In February, Danielle proudly published the Grosbusch family tree, on which she has been passionately and diligently working over the past two years. It is the genealogy of her own family, which made the project a very special and personal one. The vernissage took place at the Grosbusch fruits & vegetables business facility, which has been made available by friend and distant cousin René Grosbusch.
Feel free to get in touch if you are interested in having one of the Grosbusch family trees at home or if you have questions about the event or the technique.

100 caricatures by Joseph Grosbusch
You ought to have wings was an exhibition of a selection of more than 3000 caricatures, sketches, that Joseph produced over his lifetime. The works represent a picture of humans and the life on earth, depicting oxymorons, fallacies and hypocrisy as well as predicting many of the problems our society is facing today. This year, Danielle's father would have turned 90. Together with her two sisters, they organised an exhibition that commemorates and celebrates one of Luxembourg's artistic geniuses.
If you are interested, there is always a possibility to reorder some prints or one of the booklets, which contain a selection of Joseph's best artworks.
When/Where
This exhibition has unfortunatley already taken place (at the Oeko Zenter Lëtzebuerg Asbl)

Salon CAL 2018
In November it was again time for the Salon CAL. Organised by the Cercle Artistique du Luxembourg, it is Luxembourg's major art event, showing a selection of the country's best artworks the year 2018 could offer. The event took place over the course of ten days and was at it's peak with the visit of Grand Duke Henri during the Vernissage (see picture).
It was Danielle's thirteenth time being featured at the exhibition and this time she presented three pieces which show a mixture of natural, creative and abstract drawings (see picture).
